Staff Selection Commission( Government of India ) conducts the exam every year for the recruitment of sub-inspector and assistant sub-inspector. This exam is also known as SSC ( Staff Selection Commission ) CPO ( Central Police Organization) Exam. The exam of CPO is organized on the national level to fulfill the posts in the various government organization such as ITBP, CBI, SSB, CISF, BSF and SI in Delhi Police. To appear on this exam candidates should have academic qualification as well as physical efficiency as per the terms of SSC CPO.

The pattern of the SSC CFPO exam is based on General knowledge, reasoning, Numerical and English Comprehensive questions. SSC CPO exam will consist of a written test ( part 1 and part 2 ) following by a Physical efficiency test. SSC CPO SI ASI SELECTION PROCESS :


Academic Qualification – Graduation from any recognized university and equivalent, Candidates who have appeared final year of degree exam and waiting for the result are eligible for the SSC CPO written exam.

Nationality – Candidate should be an Indian Citizen.

Age: Aspiring candidates should be between the age of 20 years to 25 years

Age Relaxation: 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC

SSC CPO ( SI ASI ) Written Exam


The written exam of SSC CPO SI and ASI consists of two papers, First paper is objective and only those candidates will be able to give the second paper who will qualify the first paper

SSC CPO Physical Efficiency Test :


After clearing the written examination candidates will be able to appear on the Physical Efficiency Test.Physical
Efficiency Test
consists of the following components :
For male candidates –
100-meter race in 16 sec
1.6 km race in 6.5 minutes
Long jump – 3.65 meters in 3 chances
High jump – 1.2 meters in 3 chances
Shot put ( 16 Lbs ) – 4.5 meters in 3 chances
For female candidates –
100 meters race in 18 seconds
800 meters race in 4 minutes
Long Jump – 2.7 meters ( 9 feet ) in 3 chances
High Jump – 0.9 meters ( 3 feet ) in 3 chances

The last step of the SSC CPO Selection procedure is a Personal interview after clearing the Physical Efficiency Test

SSC CPO SI ASI EXAM SYLLABUS


For Paper 1

(A) General intelligence and reasoning: This section consists of analogies, similarities and differences, space visualization, problem-solving analysis judgment. decision making visual memory discrimination observation, Relation concepts arithmetical reasoning verbal and figure classification. Arithmetical series nonverbal series. This section includes such kind of questions which will test the ability to deal with abstract ideas and symbols and their arithmetical computations and other analytical functions.

(B) General knowledge and General Awareness: Question will be asked in this section to test the candidate’s knowledge of all the current issues and matters of the environment around him. Questions will also be asked about everyday observations regarding scientific aspects. Questions about India and its neighboring countries ( History, Culture, Geography, Politics, Economic scene ) will be included.

(c) Quantitative Aptitude: To test the ability of appropriate use of numbers and number sense of candidates question will be implemented in this section. computation of whole numbers, decimals and fractions and the relationship between numbers. It will test the sense of magnitude, estimation, or prediction for the real-life problems of knowledge of alternative computation procedure to find answers.

(d) English Comprehension

For Paper 2

English language and comprehension
In this part, candidates will have to show their skill of using the plain and simple English language and clarity of expression, with effective communication of words.

SSC CPO Fee


General and OBC candidates have to pay Rs 100/-Female and SC/ST candidates are free from depositing fees or will have to pay nothing for the exam.

Candidates can pay the fee through Challan at the SBI branch.

SSC CPO 2018 is being conducted to recruit candidates to the post of Sub Inspector in Delhi Police, Sub Inspector in CAPFs, Assistant Sub Inspector in CISF, Inspector posts and Sub Inspector Posts

SSC CPO 2018 Notification


The SSC CPO 2018 Notification will be released by SSC on 3rd March 2018. The last date to submit the SSC CPO 2018 application will be 2nd April 2018. Paper-1 of this exam is scheduled from 4th June to 10th June 2018.

SSC CPO Exam Pattern 2018


Questions asked in both paper-1 and paper-2 of SSC CPO 2018 will be of Objective Multiple Choice Type. Questions asked will be bilingual, i.e. in both Hindi and English. 0.25 marks will be deducted for each incorrect answer marked by a candidate on his/her OMR Answer Sheet. SSC CPO 2018 Exam will be conducted in three-phase:

  • Paper-1
  • PET, PST and Medical Test.
  • Paper-2

The final merit list will be tabulated based on a candidate’s performance in all three phases of the SSC CPO Exam.
